#1 Mood Board Creation
- We were tasked to research, collect, and organize visual examples of design elements and principles into a mood board using Adobe Photoshop.
- A4 format. Horizontal. RGB. 150 dpi.
- 3 pages, should contain: 1 front page, 1 page for elements of design (4 samples), 1 page for principles of design, (4 samples)
#2 Abstract Portraits
- We were tasked to create an art composed of lines and shapes. Develop an abstract design emphasizing elements and principles using Adobe Illustrator.
- A4, portrait, 4 artboards, 150 dpi, RGB
- 1st Artboard: reference photo, 2nd to 4th Artboard: Abstract portraits of the reference.
#3 Minimalist Movie Poster
- We were tasked to apply Gestalt principles in creating simple visual compositions by using Adobe Illustrator to create a minimalist movie poster of an existing film.

#4 MIDTERMS: Book Cover Redesign
- We were tasked to redesign a book sleeve cover of an existing book, applying the Elements & Principles of Design while focusing on typography and layout using Adobe Illustrator.
- Artboard Size: A4, horizontal, 300 dpi, RGB
- Save your works in AI (Illustrator file) and JPG for submission. Create also a .PDF file containing the original book cover design, studies, WIP, Final Product.
#5 Magazine Cover Design
- We were tasked, after approval of studies, to create a magazine cover by applying the different Principles of Design using Adobe Photoshop
- A4 , Portrait, Digital, RGB, 300 dpi, jpg. format
#6 Rebranding
- We were tasked to redesign the logo of National Bookstore using Adobe Illustrator and present mockup applications that includes the logo, and typography using Adobe Photoshop. We must also organize branding elements into a kit in a .pdf document format using Adobe Photoshop.
– For the vector-based logo: .ai File, A4 , Portrait, Digital, RGB, 150 dpi.
- For the final brand identity presentation: .pdf File, A4, Landscape, Digital, RGB, 150 dpi; logo, typography, colors, 2 marketing materials, 2 merchandise materials
#7 Album Cover Design
- We were tasked to create an album cover for an existing musician/band and apply on a mock up based on your design using Adobe Photoshop.
- A4 , Portrait/Landscape, Digital, RGB, 300 dpi, .jpeg format
#8 Online Portfolio Creation
- We were tasked to create an online portfolio using any website builder of our choice. (Adobe Portfolio, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Carrd.co etc. )
- The Website should contain a page dedicated to our plates and an About Me page that Tells us about ourselves.
#9 FINALS Digital Design Poster & Process Book
- Poster Instructions:
- La Mesa Eco Park Introductory campaign; proposed design must align with it.
- You can use either use Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography or Typography, etc.
- Copy/text incorporated on the poster: “Reconnect with Nature at La Mesa”.
- Colors: Use colors from the logo design for the poster. You can add colors if needed.
- Include the La Mesa Eco Park logo in the poster.
